One day course: Surgical anatomy of the leg in relation to nerve injuries 2024

During this one-day course you will learn how to expose all the major nerves of the lower limb. Experienced faculty members will give short presentations on the different anatomical regions followed by demonstration-operations, after which you can perform the surgical approaches. Prior tho the course all participants should study the course manual which will be available in the online learning environment. 

Learning objective
After following this course you are able to carry out operations to the lower limb where the treatment of nerve pathology is central or where iatrogenic nerve injuries must be avoided, with confidence.

Language
In case of participants from outside the Netherlands the course language will be in English.

Target group
This course is meant for neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, trauma surgeons, plastic surgeons, general surgeons and for those who are in training for one of these specialties.

The course is a compulsory part of the curriculum for Neurosurgery trainees in the Netherlands.

The course takes places under the auspices of the Dutch Society for Neurosurgery.

Accreditation
Accreditation for about 6 points will be requested at the Dutch NOV, NVPC, NVvH, NVVN.
